Primary English (Years 3–6)

School English for Years 3–6 (about ages 8–12). Teacher Changchang works on reading, paragraph writing, spelling, grammar, and speaking in class. Lessons follow Australian primary work and also suit Vietnamese students building English at this level. If your child is still learning first words and letter sounds, start with Kids English (Beginners).

What's covered

Reading

Each week

  • Main idea and details
  • Vocabulary in context
  • Simple inference
  • Headings, captions, and diagrams

Writing

Each week

Sentences, then paragraphs. Narrative and persuasive writing in the style Australian primary classes use.

  • Short narrative with a beginning and end
  • Opinion paragraph with reasons
  • Edit for capitals, full stops, and spelling

Language

Each week

Spelling patterns, grammar, and punctuation that appear in school English and NAPLAN-style language items — without turning the course into NAPLAN prep.

  • Common spelling patterns
  • Tense and subject–verb agreement
  • Commas, apostrophes, and quotation marks
  • Homophones (there / their / they’re)

Each week

Clear answers in class, short talks, and listening for key information — useful for Australian classrooms and for Vietnamese students practising English talk.

  • Listen and note 3 facts
  • Ask a classmate a follow-up question
